That is fabulous, Shannon! We really do produce wonderful dogs and the more doodle pups I see, the more convinced that we are doing the world a great service! (So long as we continue to breed responsibly.)
I am extremely grateful for you and the work that you do with the poomix rescue...I remember when you were just another "poster" on the forum...you have taken your passion and worked hard to benefit and support all of these lovely dogs. I know that I am not alone in thanking you! _________________ jacque.bayley.lexie.chase.rosie.nitos.amelia.dupree.madison.sherwood.gerry www.backporchlabradoodles-jacque.blogspot.com www.backporchlabradoodles.com |

I continue to correspond with the current foster-owner on this dog. She told me the pup was an F1...Hmmm... I am trying to fill out an application, but do not see one on the web page, so that was my last inquiry. This poor pup had Parvo...the foster said she can not be around dogs that have not been vaccinated.....should I worry about that? Is the parvo vaccine 100%? I would HATE to inadvertantly infect Calvin with parvo, even though he has been vaccinated. Do you think that is a possibility? What about my cat?
By the way, I have still not heard from the owner in washington....Leslie |

Hi Leslie,
I would try and contact the one in Wa again. I am not sure why she has not contacted you. About the parvo, Parvo cannot affect cats. The dog that has a full recovery should be kept isolated from other dogs for one full month after recovery. Do you know how long the dog has been recovered? They usually will hold them the full time so noone else would be infected. I did not see an application either. She could very well be an F1 that has more poodle genes. _________________ Shannon - Phantom, Star, Fozzie & Roni

Crossing my fingers for you, but please do call your vet! I would not want anything to happen to that gorgeous Calvin! Your husband sounds like mine! LOL _________________ Shannon - Phantom, Star, Fozzie & Roni

| Well, things are not going as I had hoped. The doodles in Idaho are not being fostered in "washington, Idaho and Oregon" as advertised on the website. They are all in Hayden Idaho and I am not in a postion to travel up there to visit. I guess I just need to keep looking locally and if it happens, it happens...BUT, It sure is disappointing...Leslie |

Well, the humane society in Portland just got a bunch of doodles that were living under not-so-great conditions and I amhoping to adopt one of those, BUT they are pricey! I'll call the shelter this weekend and see if they have any "cheaper".....Is that tacky? Leslie |
