Wauconda, Illinois September Doodle Romp

Next romp is Sunday, September 24th at 11:30 AM.

The place: Lakewood dog park in Wauconda (part of Lake County Forest Preserve), located on Fairfield Road, just north of 176. Here's a map- just type in your address!

Now for the not so fun part... the park does charge, but the convenient thing is that there is a self serve kiosk in the parking lot to buy daily permits for the park or you can buy them online. Daily permits for Lake county resident- $5 per dog. Out of county residents is $10 per dog. Permits are also available online here:

PARK POLICE WILL TICKET YOUR CAR IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A PERMIT ON YOUR DASHBOARD. The easiest way is to just order the permit online with the link above.

Dogs must be leashed until you get into the fenced-in dog exercise area. Please close the gate behind you.
We also recommend you bring water for your dog because there will be a lot of running around!

The park is fully fenced and very big! We hope to see you all there!

Who is planning on attending the romp? Barring any illnesses Lani, Toby, Chris and I will be there! Laughing

We took them to the dog park yesterday and Toby loved it, slept most of the day. Can't wait to see eveyone, Toby can't wait to see Archie (hehehe).

We will finally get to meet! Our little guy isn't so little any more. Toby isn 49lbs (5-1/2 months) just a pound shy of Lani. Right now they are pretending to be snap dragons I can hear Toby's teeth like he is a typewriter. I'm surprised he has any left! Laughing

I just got done making sure all the right tags are on their collars.. Preparing early! Fozzie is 8 months old now, and he weighs about 75-80 pounds. I am going to drive him to the vet this week, just to get a weight. LOL Fozzie was 51 pounds at 7 months. you are going to have a big guy! How old is Lani now?

Shannon, Lani will be 9 months on the 25th. We figure that she is as tall as she will get and may fill out a little more. Her mom is 55 lbs so we figure that is about what she will be. See you on Sunday. Laughing
