Hello,
Just noticed that Scottie has a sore on the roof of his mouth. It looks like a growth the size of a pea. Has anyone experienced anything like this. Just wondering if I should take him to the vet. He's been acting fine, but my husband noticed it the other day when he was playing with him...

I would say, yes...take him to the vet...it could be that a piece of bone or wood entered the skin area there and is infected...but it could be a number of things...to be on the safe side, I certainly would see the vet.
Please let us know what you find out...I wish you the best!

I would also suggest a Vet check it could be nothing but better be safe than letting it go and it be something bad.

Hi Again,
Took Scottie to the vet today and they said it was a Palanoma(med terms) and that it would probably go away on its own. I'll watch it for the next couple of months and if it doesn't get smaller or gets bigger they will remove it.

Whew!!! I am always happy to pay a vet to give me good news! Sounds crazy, but when I think the worst, and get news that it is not...I am so relieved....and so I am here too...very happy for you!
