I like the shaggy look too but it was bothering me (and Coal too I think) that I couldn't see his eyes! I love the way your Star looks and I love that name! Anyway, I am going to take one more quick peek at Drake before I go to bed.

I swear I trim by her eyes every couple of weeks, and her fur grows so fast, she has no eyes again. I wonder if she can see sometimes, but she gets along just fine.. LOL I don't know if you noticed, but it looks like Drake will be a silver doodle.

Both pups in the photo are available. I am waiting to hear from (I guess) the owner. She has yet to return my call. The dogs are pretty nearby.

Sounds to me like the dogs are in foster homes until they get adopted. I would try and call again, and see what happens. Just maybe say, I called, but was not sure I had the right number, so I am leaving another message. They could be at work.

Ok, I talked to her. She is the owner and says that she got these dogs from a woman that got them from a breeder and didn't have time for them. Now the lady that has them says that she is too busy and that they are great dogs that deserve a good home and more attention. They are doggie door trained, well behaved with her 3 and 5 year olds, don't shed and don't bark. She says they are great dogs. They are not crate trained which is a concern for me. I am trying to reach hubby now! I'm not sure he's going to think this is a good idea.

Ok, while I was typing hubby called back and was totally unsupportive. He says Coal will be fine without a friend. They sound like such great dogs Sad

. I guess I will have to work on him a little more but I am afraid that it may take longer than it will take for these two guys to be adopted.

You keep working on him. I am sure he will say yes!! LOL Men can be so difficult sometimes. Keep talking to him, and let him know how much better things will be if Coal has a friend. They will tire eachother out, they will entertain eachother. LOL

I will try! The fact that these two dogs are so young is not helping my case! I thought it would be WAY easier to convince him to adopt an older (2+) year old female that would be really laid back. I am going to send him the pic of the pups right now at work. Maybe if he sees those little faces he will start to cave in!
