You're right Jac, I do have to consider the training because Doc will be around for a long time and I expect to have grandkids while he's alive.

The incident with the Golden Retriever happened this past year on Long Island and the family knew it wasn't the dogs fault but did not feel that they could keep her any longer. They wanted to rehome her but they wanted her to be out of their area. The Helen Woodward Animal Shelter in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., (close to where I live) flew her out here. They had alot of applications to adopt her and found a very good home for her after they worked with her to make sure she did not have any behavioral issues.
