Ok, one last reply and I think you get the point - We trained German Shepherds in obedience for years. Cinnamon is smarter than the smartest G.S. we had. To hear my husband admit this is a milestone! Bear (the G.S.) was our first one to go through all the shows and degrees and he definitely was the smartest of the whole bunch. Cinnamon learned her commands within a day. Bear took a week to get it all down. And it stuck with Cinnamon, too. She remembered it even after we didn't work for a week. She's really smart! She still has her moment where she is stubborn as a mule, though!
She would have jumped in after the ball - she doesn't care that the pool was dirty. I wonder if the dog was told not to jump in the pool and that's the reason why it didn't? |

I would love to introduce her to our Cody who taught himself to UNLOCK THE GATE and also to OPEN THE DOORS using the handles! The police arrived at our house one day because Cody set off the alarm by opening a door we forgot to lock before leaving. He also learned sit, stay, off, down, roll over, leave it, and big hug (his favorite) in just a few days. These are not stupid dogs. They train easily and have great personalities. They are the "pretty, smart, cheerleaders" of the dog world so everyone who's jealous hates them.
