You know, I am so happy I stumbled on this site, everyone is so caring and it just makes me feel so good to read everyone's notes.

My vet called me this afternoon and is going to review the X-rays and if it has not spread to the lungs(we are praying) then he feels he can remove the tumor and rib(s) and with chemo, he to feels Buddy can have a great chance of long term happy life.

I will keep you all posted and once again I can not thank you all enough for the kindness you are all sharing. When things go wrong like this, it is people like you that make it feel like you can over come any obstacle. I wish Buddy could read but, never taught him that one.(hard enough to get him to sit) He to would be happy to read the kind words.

Default Oh, so cute

Just looked at Buddy's picture and he is just so beautiful. Now i have a face to go with that name which means you have got to keep us posted on his progress. Buddy, Bella is rooting for you...she thinks you're pretty cute! (Bella is the one in the new pics that has the muddy face "Mud is my favorite toy). Good thoughts being sent your way...

It is good to hear that your vet called and said there may be a chance for a long happy life. That makes me feel so good. That boy just reminded me so much of mine, it really hit home. I have been cuddling him all day ever since I saw that picture. Well wishes and lots of prayers for you and Buddy.

Shannon, Buddy looks alot like Phantom, was the Mom the Poodle or Dad? Buddy comes from the Dad being a standard and the Mom the Chocolate Lab

I thought they really lookd a lot alike too. His parents were mom(black lab) and dad was a chocolate standard poodle.. His momma was the lab. I was trying to get better pictures up of him so you could see the resemblance..

How did you find out that Buddy had cancer? If you don't mind me asking??

Still praying....

The other night I was petting his belly with both hands and on the left side I felt this lump (about the size of a baseball) and did not feel it on the other end, you could not see it because of the curls. So my wife and I took him to the vet the next day to get X-rays and have them test it.

Just to add to the story, he never has shown any signs of change in behavior, he is very playful with my other dog Jesse who takes kind of the Mom/ Big Sister role to him and so we never seen any sign of any illness
