Yesterday was Buddy's last day on earth with us and I know we will be together again. My heart goes out to all of you who have had to make the same decision and do what was right for your loved pet.

It has been a tough 24 hours and I see not only how hard it has been on us but, Buddy's sister jesse seems to really be depressed as well. We notice that she will not lay anywhere but, where Buddy was last before we had to take him to the vet and seems to just act very sad. We put Buddy's collar on her to keep him with her in spirit.

Has others noticed that the other dogs in the home act this way when the passing of another? it is very sad. We miss Buddy and hope you will all remember him like we will as a loving companion and as a forever doodle that brought extreme Joy and Happiness to all he touched.

Buddy will never beforgotten. We love you my friend and miss you

Yes, i have noticed the same thing. We had to let our 14 yr old lab go not long ago, and our 6 yr old lab would just go and hide. She went and slep in her cage, and would not come down for hours.
I will remember Buddy and how much I know you loved him. I thought of him often. He is now running painfree with my old girl. Peace to you and your family.

What a beautiful tribute to Buddy...

Yes, the other dogs know...and they do mourn. As hard as it is, try to talk in happy voices to Jesse and play with her...soon she will be happy again.

You will find times when she surprises you with an action or look...and you will swear that Buddy told her to do that...and you know, I believe he will!

Harold, Lisa, and Jesse,

I know that nothing anyone can say right now will make things better, but please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry that you are going through such a rough time now. My heart goes out to you. I too believe that you and Buddy will be together again one day.....

Hugs to all,

Susie and Abbie

Default Labaradoodle and cancer

I am have so sorry to hear about Buddy. I unfortunately have sad news to post as well. Guinness' cancer spread to his lungs and his head. I dropped him off at the vet this morning and he looked fine. By this afternoon he had a grapefruit size tumor growing out of his head. They said the the cancer cells were duplicating like crazy. I had the option to bring him home on pain medicine, but I just couldn't do it to him. The thought of one more second of pain was more than I could bear. He was softly crying, laying on my lap when he went peacefully. He is finally at peace and no longer in pain. My heart has a huge whole, he was the most handome and sweetest dog I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. His 2 years with me were short, ( he turned two on July 11th) but they were wonderful and I will treasure my memories of him forever!

Oh, no...oh, no...poor Guinness...I am so very sorry for the pain you are going through. I am without words...I don't know what to say to comfort you...but I hope that you know how much I care.

This is just heartbreaking news...so many babies lost...so many tears. But I have to believe that we will have a marvelous reunion at the Rainbow Bridge some day.

I wish you peace.

Fermanrn 1, I just can not tell you how sorry I am to hear that. My sympathy and prayers extend to you and your family. It is a very difficult thing to say good bye. I can only say that our love is forever with them and we can be at peace in our hearts knowing that they do not have to suffer any longer. My comfort comes from that and the memories of the ultimate joy and love that Buddy gave to me and my family as Guinness did for you and yours.

Guinness and Buddy I am sure are running and playing right now on the other side of that Rainbow bridge.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
