Default Puppy Classes in Pittsburgh

Max has received his last round of vaccines! We are now ready for puppy kindergarten! Anyone from Pittsburgh that can recommend some classes? I found a 3 near us- Pet Smart, my Vet's office and Animal Friends. Pet Smart and the Vet's Office is a 6 week course and Animal Friends is 1 hour class that covers a few topics. You are not committed to 6 week course and come back to take any class over if you feel you need to.

I have participated in the Petsmart classes with my doodle and we have completed 4 levels of training and it was great!!

You puppy will enjoy the weekly class much more than you think and it is sooo worth it

I weighed the pros and cons of each place. I just signed up for classes at PetSmart. Looking forward to it. I also just started to train Max to use the bell to go outside to go potty.

Would a 1 yr old still be ok to start classes?

Wow! This is the first time I've heard of puppy kindergarten. What do they teach in puppy class?

You learn basic commands like sit, stay down, shake ...how to use the clicker for clicker training, how to read your puppy a little better and stuff like that. It trains you as well as your baby..the intermediate class then builds on the training from puppy class, then the advanced builds from the intermediate class...we had such a good time!!!

(Shake was used for graduation - it was soo cute!)

This picture is from back in July, Jasper was 18 weeks old...he's now 9 1/2 months old...

Maximo, how did your pup do in the classes? And how is it going training the pup with the bell? Right now Hayley just thinks the bell is a toy hanging on the door.. LOL Hayley has three more classes in the petsmart training class! They are going so well so far! Bluebrook, it is never too late to take your pup to training class. We have a 2 year old boxer who is also in our class with us!
