I have all ready sent in my nonrefundable deposit for our future Labradoodle who will be ready to come home in January. I am having second thoughts on bringing a new puppy home in the middle of winter and think I might ask the breeder to switch me to a different litter. She will be having litters that will be ready in the spring and summer. My question is as breeders is that a problem to have people switching litters this late in the process?

No, it's a decision you will live with for a very long time, in my opinion, so get what you want when you want it!
We got our doodle in may and it was wet and a pain in the butt, but wanted THAT puppy. If you haven't even met your puppy yet then wait if you want. We got our puppy late (at 12 weeks old) and he was available because another family changed their minds. So, don't think you are messing up a process. It is fluid and adjusts to whatever happens. I think it all works out But doodles are great and training mine was a breeze- even in the rain, lol Good luck |
