we have a f1b mini labradoodle that we adore...
we like her hair long and shaggy... is it important to "get rid of" a big, clump of matted hair?? or will it get long enough that we can just cut it off and new hair will grow beneath it while it grows out? in other words, what is the "problem" with matting? is it purely aesthetic or is it not somehow "health-ful" for the dog? thank you! |

it ll start out with small tangles in the hair..as it gets thicker oil and dirt will accumalate and you ll have a flat unbreathing matt that ll keep the skin from breathing..
eventually the matting will get worst at a faster rate and skin irritation s can occur, furthering the problem that could have been prevented in the first place.. all it would take is a regular brushing and combing just a couple times a week..you ll be surprised that dogs will generally get this grooming as a extension of the loving it mother s gave befor leaving the litter..and the dog will actually look forward and welcoming the grooming sessions.. |
