Excellent! I am so happy to see science embrace the dog as a sentient being! In my experience, the dogs are reasoning and aware...and no "alpha" roles exist on a constant level.
I am reading a book about how to bond with a dog and they say that mutual respect has to exist between human and dog in order to create a bond...I am fascinated with this type of study. For anyone interested in further scientific studies about human-animal interaction, do some internet searche for these terms: "human animal interaction", "anthrozoology", and "animal ethology". Fascinating study for those who believe that there is more to a dog than..."just a dog". Thanks Lynne! (I have the book on order now...) |
