Hi, im from Norcal as well..the central valley..luckily we ve have nt experienced the mosquitos due to the
abatement programs..but, with the the current economic problem it might be one of the programs that ll
be cut back..

due to the many bugs a dog can t pickup at dog parks..we ve discontiuned going to the dog park..we ve noticed
that there is a growing number of dog owner s that are less concious about picking up after their dogs..and many just
ignorant about the neccestity of good dog hygine..

we use advantix..only cuz it takes care of the mosquitos as well..with 3 dogs it can get costly..so i usually get it on Ebay..
i ve found that i can get and save as much 30% over Petmeds..but, from Petmeds i use Dog Worms 3, which is a broad spectrum dewormer..i use this every 6 mos as a precaution..

Doodles are prone to develope ear infection s do to the shape of their ears..with a heavy, floppy ears that fold
close to their heads..and couple that with the thick coat of hair around the ears..it prevents air circulation..this prevents the ear canel dry..in a enviroment that warm, bad things can start growing..

so ive shaved around the ear..from the front of the ear lobe to the back, all around so the ear is shaved..allowing more air to acces the ear..also, ive shaved the under the flap s and plucked just about every strand of hair leading the inner ear cannel..then rince once a week and when i see any brown discharge i ll apply Otamax from Petmeds for a week period..

Wow never thought dogs can have ear infection due to their ears. Thank you for the information. Now, I will always have the ears check for my Laby.
