Default VIDEO...HOW TO PERFORM CPR ON YOUR DOG and

HI everyone.....i was thinking of how our doodles seem to swallow things at times or are just curious by nature
AND

WHAT IF there is an emergency........like YOUR DOG not breathing???????
for me, i've had other emergencies where i am looking ONLINE for videos while calling ER

So THIS TIME I THOUGHT.......i DO NOT want to be looking this UP in an emergency
NOW YES i do stay calm in emergencies but there are times when we don't.

HOW TO PERFORM CPR VIDEO
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AFrUiRIeVo

and and ARTICLE as well
http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm ... 7&aid=1604

NOW let's hope NONE Of us ever need to do this but what if you were at someone Else's house and their dog has a problem?
or you're dogsitting? soooooooooooo for me i like to research this stuff AHEAD OF TIME

wow..........are you serious JAC? !! i haven't taken one but i thought it was really good myself

i realized i've been through so many emergencies in the past that NOW i try to learn AHEAD of time
as time is of the essence at times with our dogs and well CPR on a dog is tad different than on a human.

Thank you soooooooo much for posting this! It is something I, at least, should watch over and over again!!
When you're nervous, as anyone WOULD be at a time like that, it's hard to remember all the steps.
OMG! The thought of it just scares me! A dog not breathing! WE MUST LEARN THIS!!!
Thanks!

PERSONALLY i am going to keep watching the video myself as well so i feel confident in doing it HEAVEN FORBID that situation occurs
and in fact i have a large stuffed animal i might practice on so i've done it theoretically.

I wish MORE people would see this post as it could be life saving...........and NOTE: people can also type in on utube
doing CPR on CATS to get a video on it as well.

One thing that they didn't show, that we were taught, is to pull on the dog's tongue to be sure that there is nothing blocking the airway...obviously, you don't want the tongue out if you clamp the teeth together! But, as with humans, you want to be sure that the dog has not choked on an object.
