I just wanted to share with everyone that Doc is doing so much better, and I'm not as stressed out with him anymore. After I wrote the post on needing encouragement, I finally found some things that Doc likes to do when he gets bored. He likes stuffed animals and I throw them a little ways in the house and he goes and gets them and brings them back. He also likes to go after a bouncy ball that I toss around the house. He still doesn't like to run far or chase it outside, but he does like this. I also just discovered another thing to do with him to get him moving to burn off some energy. I take little pieces of treats and throw them around the house and he chases after them. Then I tell him to "come" and when he comes back to me I give him another small treat. That way, I'm practicing the "come" command too. I'm so thankful!

Oh good! Jac's right, there's been a moment with each of my doods when I felt the "click". I always try to make lots of eyecontact when we're "clicking." I think it reinforces to them that what they're feeling is working for you both. And in a mysterious way, it (eyecontact) just makes me feel like there's real communication going at some deep level.....
Oooooooh. "I see dood people." LOL

Yah, it is neat to make meaningful eye contact with them. I do often make eye contact with him, but, just this week at the obedience class there was a big difference in his eye contact and amount of attention he was paying to me during the class. It was very neat to have him looking at me with expectation to see what was next.
