Nnacy, a quick Aussiedoodle question, figured you would be a good person to ask ( may have asked before but I forget). What is the coat variability like in an F1 aussiedoodle? is it like a LD inthat you get hair that sheds, or fleece that doesn't all in the same litter? Or is it more like GD's, more consistent and longer since aussies have longer coats than labs? I haven't seen many adult pics or aussiedoodles, thats why I ask. Is anyone doing F1b aussiedoodles yet?

congrats nancy
and i must say that aussie doodle is GORGEOUS........I LOVE the colors and coat

OH in genetics.....why do goldendoodles f1's have more of a coat tend to be more nonshedding and fleecy?
IN GENETICS it's cause the LONG haired dog bred to the poodle has a HIGHER LIKLIHOOD of this type of coat.

shorter coated dogs like labs have proven via genetics to give more of scruffy look in f1's and possible tendency to be more
low to moderate shedding THOUGH there are some nonshedding f1 LD's

max has almost grown out of shedding at 1.5yrs old except for seasonally meaning springtime

Thanks AnnMarie,,I know im sooo in Love myself

Whatever the reason it sure makes my life easier, I love the coats on the First generation aussiedoodles and the colors i dont have to breed back to get them, they are very consistent
I know what you mean bout max,, i had a female F1 Labradoodle that shed like crazy the first 2yrs of her life then NOTHING notta not one hair, still scratching my head over that one,
