Hey, everybody, I know I haven't been around much....the spring litters really took a toll on my time and then on my recuperating right at the end of the school year! Whew! (I have 3 kids, all school ages)
But....My girl Truffle, an f3, is ready for mommyhood again!! And...for the first time, my miniature f1b boy Sunny is gonna be a DAD!! Here's the happy couple so these will be "multigen" f3, (from an f1b x f3) and both parents have fleece/wool coats. PLUS both carry the parti gene! So I'm hoping for apricots, creams, blacks and gray/silvers, AND partis, I hope! (please God!) The picture above is after Sunny's haircut...this is how cool his coat is if it grows out: ![]() Isn't he a sweetheart?! |

Hi Maureen, congratulations!!! I know how you have waited for this breeding! I am very happy for you ....and you are right, these pups will be adorable! Great size too!
I can't wait to see what colors you get...I'm crossing my fingers for you to get a parti too, that would the the yummy icing on your cake! |

Thanks, Parti lovers!
Actually what I'm most excited about is the build and look of the puppies these two could have. They would also be FABULOUS therapy candidates....both parents are so mellow and so devoted. Truffle's f2 puppies had such nice blocky heads....and with both parents being fleece and wool, I really hope to see lots of waves and curls on their puppies! The other exciting bonus is that they were able (somehow) to tie NATURALLY! Isn't THAT cool?! |

Actually, those short guys have a way to charm the tall girls...my Dupree kept surprising me as a daddy to my girls...that little stinker even got to Rosie! My TALL Goldendoodle (who won't let the boys near her...) He also climed 6' fences without hesitation... You are right, their body sizes are just perfect for downsizing your line...good job! (Love the temperament too...) |

LOL!!! I was envisioning needing a "turkey baster" but 2 things happened: My dh noticed a nuanced sort of 'squatting' or knee bending on the part of Truffle...and then once they were tied I could help Sunny but they figured it out on their own and then we would help Truffle lay down so little Sunny didn't get hurt. We have had the privilege of working with another breeder who owns Sunny's dad and we got some tips on helping a smaller male stay tied to a taller female. But the AI costs could be almost the price of a pupppy alone, so 'natural' IS better! |

Congrats maureen.............sunny is gorgeous as is truffle
glad the natural took over AI As it can be expensive at times and also a wait to see if it took

Such BEAUTIFUL doodles!!
I have to laugh at this turkey baster thingie. Imagine checking it out at the grocery store and telling the cashier what it's for!
