Excellent Book...Every Dog Owner should have one...

Hi guys...I wrote about this as a response to another post but I thought it deserves a post all its own...I have been reading one of the best holistic dog books I have ever read... The Complete Holistic Dog Book...co-authored by my previous vet. Ok Jac - I am trying not to look too smug....I bought this book just after I acquired Charlie. I had to close my eyes as I paid for it...they sure wop up the price for imports - but it was worth it. Was it Katy Summers who was your vet? I'm so jealous, I haven't found any homeopathic vets yet in NZ so it's the usual vet plus DIY. Very interesting book!

Yes, it was Katy Summers! She was a great vet...in fact, all of the vets in that clinic were fantastic. I was sorry to leave the area and I sure wish that I could find another like her, and the others there.
I am glad that you have the book and like it so much. I felt silly that I had it for so long and never read it! LOL But I refer to it all the time now...and boy, I do highly recommend it!

Jac, I just ordered it through Amazon, and got a good price on it. I read the reviews of it and every one of them raved about the book. Since it covers puppies and older dogs this will be great for both of mine! Thank you!! Can't wait to read it.

Thanks Jac for posting this...I am due a new dog book.
For YEARS I have been using a book "Your Dog...his health & happiness" by Louis L. Vine, DVM
Although it has been an excellent reference....it was copyrighted in 1979.
I also had a breeder recommend "The Pill Book Guide to Medication for Your Dog and Cat"
Looks like time to make an order....

Jac, I received the book 2 days ago. I have read several chapters and it is excellant. This book is full of useful and informative information! Thank you for mentioning it or I would ahve never known about it!!
