Update on my vet dilema
well i finally decided on a vet, they are a emergency vet about 30-45min from us
her name is Dr Beagle!!! love it,,  she is very knowledgeable, totally agrees with our approach to vet care, Dr Busbys philosophy (just found this he was quoted in the washington post http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/co ... 02_pf.html I LOVE THIS GUY,,got his book,,have read most of it,,a very few things i dont agree with but mostly Thumbs up!!! any way back to my new vet,, she has already given us a open prescription on all of my normal meds, drontal, albon,clavimox panacur, interceptor and has told my prescription provided to just call if i need anything else, which i dont think i would order unless she says to,,,I love my new vet!!!! even more then my old one,,which i might add isnt to happy with me, since i moved,,LOL poor guy i guess not,,he aint gettin my money no more lmao  im sooo happy im in NC

how lovely!! Glad you've found a vet you're happy with....they're in the same category as the dentist and hairdresser...if you don't trust them your life is a misery!!

Nancy, congratulataions! Tell me...how do you go about finding all of this? Do you make an appointment to interview them? Do you take them to dinner? hahahaha
I need to find a vet that is as good...one who will teach me and trust me. By the way...I found that book on Amazon for $13 something... |

Yes i do interview them, i of course use them,, wow them with our knowledge and then wammy gottem,,LOL
you get a feel for them and them of you,,once they feel comfortable that you are just regular joe of the street that wants something for nothing they normally are easy to deal with, this one has truely surprised me ,,im tickeled pink but you know she has the same no nonsense approach to care as we do so it is truly a god send and answer to prayer, I got the book,,its amazing, some things i didnt agree with but majority was a big ole wow,,love the guy |

Love the name Nancy, Dr Beagle. HAHAHAHAHA. Sounds like you have found a good one. I know that's not always the easiest thing to do. We really like our vet too. We use the same one as our breeder uses, the plus is that he is only 10 minutes away (our breeder lives about a 10 walk away).
