Mandy....less than 19 hours to arrival time

We made the pick!!! She is Kari on Maureen's site, we are naming her Mandy. I am so thrilled to announce my new girl. Maureen worked hard to find one that would fit perfectly with me and here she is (isn't she the cutest)

Isn't she so adorable?? Can you tell I am crazy about her??

I have a lot more pictures, but picked these to show her off. In 2 more weeks she will be here. I think she has the sweetest looking face and I want to reach into the picture and pet her! She is great! Thank you Maureen!!!!

Dont you just wanna run your fingers in her yummy chocolate coat?
I really love this girl and I'm excited that we ALL get to watch her grow up on the forum with Cindy!

She is courageous, and adventurous, but not easily ruffled by noise or anything sudden. She was not thrilled about being on my kitchen table for pictures

(duh!) but she didn't tremble or freeze either. She easily makes eye contact and was very compliant when Rachael and I made a lame attempt at "stacking" her for the picture.

so...what's her name gonna be?????

She looks so pretty and soft. I have her photo on my background on the laptop and when I get to work in a week (spring break time) she will be on the one at work.

Okay, after deliberating names for a few minutes, Dave and I have figured out her name will be Mandy. On Maureen's site you can see her as "Kari".

Congratulations, Cindy, and congratulations on your new home, Mandy! She's just adorable, and it's going to be fun seeing her develop here. I think Chouette was the first of Maureen's babies that she got to watch grow up on the forum, although I sent her lots of photos otherwise, too. I can't wait to see how her coat turns out! And you will be amazed at how bright, merry and loving she'll be!

How far away do you live from Maureen and is she flying there with Mandy?

Congratulation! Look like a great pick. And what a DARK coat. Very nice. I am a chocolate lover, so I will be watching closely to see how that coat turns out. Much darker than the choco's from our program.

Maureen is going to fly her here! Which is great since I will get to meet her and she will be there to hand her to me, instead of picking her up at the cargo section of the airport. My cousin and I thought of making a nice weekend out of driving there, but I wouldn't have had any time with Mandy that weekend and that wouldn't have worked!!

I doubt if she will be on top of my dining room table in the near future, I have too many books on it right now (still working on thesis), no room for her on it.

It will be interesting to see how her coat changes over time. She is such a sweetie, Maureen did a great job.

What's your thesis on, Cindy? And lots of luck writing with a brand new puppy! I had forgotten how very needy they were; luckily my granddaughter was around to keep an eye on her so it wasn't me 24/7!

It is on parent/teacher communication and the effects it has on student performance (academics/behavior). I am doing an actual portfolio, but have to write the paper as well

She will be a little work, but just seeing her learn new things and become comfortable here will be so wonderful. She will definitely add some excitement to our house (and activity). I really like her expressions and those eyes!
