hhahhahaaaaaaaaaa OH GENE you crack me up with that "learning to groom" pic of RUMOR......however you
need to post how you groom RUMOR now: like an expert groomer!! Allen glad you've gotten your choices narrowed down and that JAC along with others were able to help you out. In the end, we'll be waiting eagerly to see the pics of your new doodle baby that won your heart because a breeder took the proper time to answer your questions aiding you in your decision. It's so hard in the beginning choosing what kind of doodle as there's various types, coats, colors but one thing is for sure: Doodles are all highly intelligent, people oriented, ever so sweet and loving but very comical and you fall DEEPLY in love with a doodle taking more pics of them than your spouse, kids or other family and friends GOOD LUCK and can't wait to hear and see soon.

hahahhahahahaaaa! Gene! You are right on! Those first grooming sessions are wonderful, eh? Actually, my dog's feet look alot like Rumors because the dog always gives out on me and gets cranky when I get to the feet! So, since they never see anyone (or are seen by anyone) I let them go for a day or so and finish up later.
You are really great, Gene! |

Allen.....I can still do that haircut....for forum friends, the price is quite reasonable. It is a real head turner!
I have other pictures from that grooming session that look like Rumor was being prepped for surgery!

Truer words have not been spoken.
So what about all that did Rumor have to say? I'm from western PA (Greensburg). That was somewhat before Columbus landed. If I go back to the area for a visit, and since I believe you aren't all that far away, maybe I can take you up on that offer of haircut lessons. That way, after such a hypothetical visit, I could say to my doodle, at well selected times of course, "Do you wanna go visit Gene again?" |

Rumor is an attention hound.....so any quality (or not so) time with Dad is a good thing!
When you get your doodle, there's a great dog park in Beaver Falls that would be great for a mini doodle romp!

My minipoodle looked a lot like your Rumor, when I first tried to groom, afterall how hard could it be, I had some good clippers! Well, Katie looked like I took a weed wacker to her, and I was too embarrassed to take her then to the groomers to be "neatened up". DH took her, and then brought her back with the sage advice to "let them try next time...." She looked like a naked goat for 3 months.....
