Default Thanks to The Forum Moderators!

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to thank our moderators for the hard work they do on the site. They really deserve our thanks. It's not easy, and I'm usually juggling too many projects and don't give this forum the time or attention it deserves.

I know this is like a big family to a lot of you, but if it wasn't for the hard work of a few dedicated people, I would have to shut the forums down because I don't have the time to moderate and run it the way it should be! You guys have built one unbelievable online community. I installed the software, but you guys made this a forum unlike any other!

SO! Thanks to our original moderators:

Dixiedi and GracieLou ....

and our current moderators

JAC and MAXANDME

... and to our newest moderators

Raleighsmom
lindamarie

... and we'll probably be adding a couple of more shortly.

For those of you who don't know me (because I'm never around). I'm the owner of http://labradoodle-dogs.net/ , which is really two sites in one.

The first part is the breeder directory at http://labradoodle-dogs.net/
The second part is the forums here at http://labradoodle-dogs.net/forums
The breeder directory pays the hosting bill and allows the forum to keep running.

The reason I don't come around as often as I should is because I spend my days running a small 3 person web design company called smallplanetonline.com that provides retail websites to Herbalife Independent Distributors at http://herbal-nutrition.net .... I'm also the father of 4 children (whom we homeschool) and constantly have TOO MANY IRONS in the fire.

Anyway, I wanted to hop in here and say THANKS to the moderators!

Mark,
I would like to show my appreciation for all that you do and have done to make this all possible.
We definitely have formed a community here where I have learned to trust people in an online situation, which is not always possible in this day and age.
All the members are wonderful. I mean, if ya own a Labradoodle...right there it says something GOOD and trustworthy about you.
This site brings me tremendous JOY and I am more than happy to help in any way I can.

You really are busy! I want to look at all yours sites you posted a bit later.

Thank YOU for everyhting and for the opportunity to help here.
Linda

Thanks! Actually, I'll probably be asking you all to help me with a fun project in six weeks or so...

It's centered around a new website we're working on. It will be a free community where you can connect with other people and go on a diet together in a "weight loss challenge" type of format. It should launch in around 8 weeks or so, and isn't centered around any specific diet or program. I'll announce it when we're ready for some "beta testers".

I guarantee it will be the most fun you can have while on a diet!

-Mark

Sounds super! Although I don't need weight loss at this point....size 2 bottom 8 top...haha......how much more personal should I get?
I'm always open to good things that are healthy. Diets are not always for weight loss. It's the nutrition!!

And yes...I'm looking forward to a 'weight loss challenge'.... because I certainly could lose many pounds!!!!

Hey, Mark, so nice to hear from you! Thank you for your graciousness.
It isn't often that we get an opportunity to remember the "beginning" of someting good...but I do recall when I joined this forum and we had approximately 52 members! My how things have changed!
This forum has kept its wonderful friendly tone and dedication to helping and encouraging Doodle owners and I am so proud to have played a small role.
I, too, look forward to being a beta tester on the new weight loss forum!
Thank you, Mark, for giving us a place to call home.

Thanks from me too Mark! I've been a member for over 2 years.....where did the time go!! This place is the best!! I consider you all friends.....I have to, you've always been there for me through the good and bad times. And I even get accepted for my shenanigans!! There are times when life gets to us all. It's so nice that we have a place to go where we can have a laugh, a cry and a joke at someone else's expense........sorry Annmarie!

A now to be considered to be a moderator here.....what an honor! Thanks you so much!!

Thank you to all of you who keep this forum running, and thank you also to those of you who extend your advice and friendship to those of us overseas. NZ doesn't seem to have the same sort of 'dog-owning fraternity' (dog parks, day care centres and even the large petshop/grooming facilities you talk about are very rare out here....and like the schoolgate, they're good places to meet similar people....or.....you have this forum )and it is lovely to be able to talk on a regular basis to people who love dogs too. THANK YOU
