My puppy is happy, healthy, and full of energy (a little more than I wanted...lol). He was the largest puppy from his litter. He was 11 pounds at 8 weeks and is now 27 pounds at 15 weeks.
Feel free to ask me more questions. I don't really frequent this forum. It's too slow for my taste. I'm much more active over at doodlekisses.com. My profile name is the same there.
The main thing I did not like is how she kind of forced me into choosing a specific puppy VERY soon. I had a deposit on my litter pretty much as soon as they were conceived. As soon as they were born about 2-3 weeks passed and she was asking me to pick a puppy. I don't know about you, but when I am spending $1000+ I want to pick a puppy based on temperament and not just looks.
Speaking of price, we did have a small disagreement over the final price. When I put my payment down to reserve my puppy she told me my TOTAL was $1000. Well, when I went to make the final payment I paid the balance, but she wrote me back saying I owed 7% tax. Long story short, I only paid $1000. I do see now that she has not only increased the price, but she does have tax listed on the web site.
I do not know if I would buy from her again seeing her new pricing, but my experience was good enough that I would buy again if price was not concern.
My experience overall was pretty good. She is very nice and she was willing to let me come and see the puppy whenever I wanted. As long as I set up a day and time before hand. She even let me pick the puppy up a day early because my puppy was due to come home on a Monday and I live 45 minutes away and work fulltime.
I will tell you that the drive out there is pretty rural. Your going to have to go down about two pretty long and rough dirt roads. I would not drive a nice or expensive car out there.
Hi Alchemy1, I saw your post saying that you got a pup from Shannon's Shamrock in SC. I am thinking of reserving a pup from an upcoming litter of Sheperdoodles. How was your experience? Any advice you may offer would be welcomed. Thanks!!!
