Hi, my daughter found this link on facebook.
My miniature labradoodle is 14 months old and is an F1 called COBY. He was diagnosed at 7 months with developmental hip dysplasia. Fortunately having sought a second opinion last month we were told by a top specialist that we will be able to manage the condition conservatively rather than have a total hip replacement which had been booked for this month. He continues to thrive on his careful regime and is not even limping anymore. Apparently the condition stabalizes around now and the body comensates by producing more bone and bone spurs to create a fitting ball and socket. Down side is osteoarthritis. However he is not in pain and we don't need painkillers or antiinflammatories. He had 4 months of hydrotherapy twice a week which probably did the trick. He is a beautiful lovely doodle. We are in the UK
