YES puppies will sleep alot and need the rest in order to grow etc.
this is sooooo normal, some puppies need to be put down for a nap like peanut whereas MAX did't he'd just doze off alot.
like a baby to toddlers ....naps are common.
i had one doodle puppy say got up 6:30am then would take a nap by 10:30am, then again another one around 2 or 3pm and then after dinner would take a short nap around 7pm and go to bed by 9:30pm
but he also was quite active with us and my other doodles when awake.
As we're are all different so are our puppies, if your puppy seems alert, bright eyed, healthy, etc then your puppy may be one that like to sleep more. JUSt as some puppies sleep through the night and others take some time before they do.
IF your puppy isn't lethargic when awake i wouldn't worry , also pooping and peeing, eating good too.
