But the thing is that most dog breeds today isn't a mix of several breeds because they didn't have diffrent breeds, just dogs of different types, until the 1800's or something. So how could there be crossbreeding when there was no dog breeds
This is the most often used reply whenever I asked that same question: "isn't all dog breeds a ressult of crossbreeding"?
Well it doesn't matter to me what tey are called or what it is used for, just that the dog are healthy and satisfied with the lifestyle they have.
The breeding of all animals is egoistic, it dosn't matter from what side you look at it. So if you have your dog as a pet or as a hunting, police or guarding dog, it's still not in that animals interest if it doesn't feel good.
So this whole purebred discussion is for me only pointed towards the people that breed dogs mixed in every direction and whithout bothering to find good homes or doing tests, but just for the sake of getting more money.
