True Nancy, the puppy and adult coats are different. We had one family with allergies (the dad) adopt an F1b pup. They tested the entire litter, no issues, no issues with our 2 F1 adults either so we thought we were int he clear. When the puppies adult coat came in, boom, allergies for dad. I know,, especially with the Labradoodles ,,i dont know what it is,,,
I do know its complete frustration for us as breeders,
and heartbreaking for the pup and the families,,
thats why i ask the WHAT IF question before i will sell a pup to anyone
a big reason i quit breeding Labradoodles
and now only breed aussiedoodles and goldendoodles first gens
