Maybe his owner passed away? And no one in his family wants to take him? Sad, but it apparantly happens way more often than we'd like to think.

I hope the poor boy finds a nice forever home - he must be so lonely without his "mom" or "dad" now.

How heartbreaking - I wish I could take him! I hate imagining a dog that age not having a forever home!

That just breaks my heart!! I can't imagine why! Maybe it is because someone died or went into a convalescent home.
