How do you end up for adoption at 4 or 5 mths of age?
I am having a hard time understanding how people are giving up puppies at such a young age. I'm hoping they are just left over from a litter and not that an owner is already tired of them. I look at my two sleeping nearby and just want to go and give them a big hug. Here's hoping that they find a forever home soon.

See, this is when I start to understand why some people get so worked up when I tell them I'm BUYING a labradoodle. I can't imagine why so many people spend all kinds of money on one, then just give it up for adoption.
I soooooooooo wish I lived anywhere near one of those shelters! I tried finding doodles on petfinder, but couldn't find any within driving distance. They're too cute! |

We would have gladly gotten ours from a shelter, but my DH has allergies. We could not take the chance. And, we have a daughter who is afraid of dogs so we needed one we knew for sure had been socialized around kids.
But I would have no hesitation getting from a shelter or from IDOG if we ever got another when the kids are older.
