Default Found Adult Male Labradoodle near Linn, Missouri

Yesterday we found this beautiful boy on the highway. We have notified the vets in the area and taken him to be checked for chip id..none. He was wearing a very faded collar and it had the end of a chain that appeared to be broken still attached. He also had another identifying item on him that we will ask any prospective owners to identify.

Upon inspection he appears to have an ear infection. We have rinsed and dried and he will be taken to the vet for examination tomorrow. If owner is found we would ask owner pay this bill.

We moved to Missouri this spring and since moving to this rural area have taken in 2 strays and made them a part of our family. Added to my Deaf Great Pyrenese rescue and our 3 boystrous schnauzers this has us fuller than we ever imagined.

While I would love to keep this boy , he is cute as the dickens, I just will not be able to if we dont find his owner. I simply cannot take on any more as surely the rest will suffer.

If his owner is not found I will be looking to rehome him and will expect any vet bills to be paid by the new home. Minimum adoption fee will be charged, vet references WILL BE REQUIRED .

He is VERY Friendly... appears to be used to being outside and on a chain as he untangles his legs from it as tho a habit. His collar is very faded as it would be on an outside dog. The vet today felt he was middle aged. He is neutered (thankfully) and does seem to sort of know some basic commands when he chooses to listen. (sit, shake) he rode well in the car but no so good on a leash(going into the vet)

He seems to get along great with the other dogs and barn cats. He hasnt barked hardly at all (if any) but is very sad and lonely and whines alot.

Unknown whether he is housebroke. I cannot take a chance on bringing him in and having my other rescue decide he needs to mark his territory.

You can see his photo on my facebook page at
