Hi all,
Sadly we have a labradoodle that needs a new home, she is 1 year old (as of May 22nd) has been fixed, has a microchip, and I just bought 6 months of heart worm preventive and flea, tick keep away meds. Our house has 3 young kids (1,5,& 8 ) she is very good with them (but does get tired of them sometimes) but I have a degenerative spine disease and my husband and 1 of my daughters also have serious health (brain) issues/problems and we aren't getting the dog out often enough or giving her enough exercise (we don't have a fence nor do we let her run free) basically she deserves a better home, we have seen her potential (our neighbors are trainers and have worked with her, when she gets around people enough and has a decent amount of exercise she is perfect with everything and she is eager to learn new tricks). She is house-trained and loves other dogs and will often toss her toys into the air and catch them if no one else will play with her. In our current situation she is protective of me, the kids and the house. She needs to be around people more if you would want her to be good with people, if not then she will bark a lot at the door when someone is there and growls at your guests but never does anything past that, but is a good watch dog if that is what you want, though when she stays with the neighbors she doesn't even bark at strangers or the doorbell or anything so if she is exercised she is a perfectly behaved labradoodle, and therefore not a watchdog. She is a light black and is soft, her hair needs to be brushed or trimmed very short, otherwise it gets all matted. She knows the following commands: here; drop it (if she gets food or anything off the floor that she isn't allowed to have and you say drop it most of the time she will); sit; down; up; out; in (for the car); etc. Her favorite thing is fetch and she LOVES to swim, fetch in the water is the greatest thing in the universe. She is even good for baths. She is crate-trained as well, if you are interested in that, she has spent the night in her crate many a time but often sleeps on the bedroom floor, and only once ate the soap from the bathtub (eek) She loves treats and ice cubes. Her name is Bailey. We are in western NC and would need you to pick her up. She is LOADED with potential, but stuck in the house all day with 3 screaming/singing loud kids and rarely ever even getting a walk or anything is getting to her, and I physically can not do it for her, even taking her outside to go to the bathroom is hard on me. But she is very loving and could be the best thing ever for the right family. She is a "medium" and she is 66 pounds currently. I have some pictures and will add them if I can figure out how. Only going to a good home. She was expensive (as per the standard for labradoodles, we've had her since she was 6 weeks old) we'd like some of that money back and her 6 months of meds total $150 and we will need that too, please email with questions or offers and if you are interested then please tell me a bit about your family. If you have questions please email me or call 828-862-5435. My name is Brittany. Hi thank you sheamusmom -- but Bailey went to a great new home where she has another dog to play with, a good mother to train her, long walks everyday, the occasional hunting trip and visit to farms, and a dog run area -- she will be very happy --thanks
