The Doodle Rescue Collective has been asked to help a rescue group in North Dakota with a recent seizure of 9 labradoodle pups (10 months old) who were living in an outdoor pen without access to a door for feeding or cleaning, several inches of piled feces and the only shelter was an abandoned truck. The dogs are in a temporary shelter and need rescue. DRC has plenty of foster homes in the midwest area willing to take the dogs and drive an hour or two to get their dogs. The local rescue's original driver has backed out.
We need a driver (or ideally a pair) who would drive a van rented by DRC to pick up the dogs in Jamestown, ND, drive to Minneapolis, then to Des Moines, IA, and finally to Indianapolis to drop off the dogs. Crates will be provided as well as gas$$ and the van. This trip originally was planned for this upcoming weekend. We hope to have it take place in the next 2 weeks. Does anyone know someone who is willing to make this 1000 mile trip??

TRIP CANCELLED!! The dogs were real escape artists and climbed the temporary fencing!! They were urgently sent to local rescue groups in order to ensure their safety.

Oh, the poor babies...I can only imagine how my puppies would fare under those conditions. They are so smart and loving...it just breaks my heart.
I hope that they each find wonderful homes to make up for their terrible beginning. |
