BAD NEWS. CHARLiE NEEDS A H0ME.

WELL i HAVE HAD CHARLiE F0R A FEW M0NTHS N0W. I AM A HIGHSCHOOL SENIOR AND I PLANED TO TAKE HIM AND MY SCHNAUZER TO COLLEGE WITH ME NEXT YEAR. F0R S0ME REAS0N MY M0M HAS G0NE CRAZY AND SAYS THAT i HAVE TO FIND HIM A HOME ASAP. IM NOT SURE WHY SHE IS SAYING THIS NOW AFTER WE HAVE AHD HIM FOR AWHILE. WE HAVE 3 OTHER DOGS BESIDES CHARLIE AND SHE THINKS WE HAVE TO MANY. EVEN THOUGH I L0VE THIS D0G WITH EVERYTHING I HAVE SHE STILL IS FORCING ME TO FIND HIM A HOME. IT HAS BEEN CAUSING MANY PROBLEMS BETWEEN HER AND I, AND I WOULD DO ANYTHING TO KEEP HIM RIGHT NOW BUT IT JUST WONT HAPPEN.

******CHARLIE IS ABOUT 9 MONTHS OLD. I RESCUED HIM FROM THE HUMANE SOCIETY WHEN HE WAS 4 MONTHS OLD. HE KNOWS ALL BASIC OBIDEINCE C0MMANDS (COME, SIT, STAY, DOWN, ETC.). HE L0VES WATER AND SWIMMING. HE IS ABOUT 35 LBS. HE IS BLACK. BUT MAY TURN GREY. HE IS STILL IN THE PROCESS OF HOUSEBREAKING, AND NEEDS SOMEONE THAT CAN KEEP HIM ON A SCHEDULE. MUST BE KEPT AS AN INSIDE DOG. I DONT WANT HIM TO HAVE TO STAY OUTSIDE LIKE MY MOM IS TRYING TO MAKE ME DO. HE STILL SLEEPS IN A CRATE AT NIGHT AND IS KEPT IN A CRATE DURING THE DAY IF WE ARE NOT HOME.

IF ANY OF YOU KNOW ANYONE WHO IS LOOKING FOR A LITTLE BIT OF AN OLDER DOG PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I L0VE THIS DOG MORE THAN ANYTHING AND IT IS JUST TEARING MY HEART APART TO HAVE TO LET HIM GO I KNOW ITS NOT FAIR TO HIM TO HAVE TO STAY OUTSIDE ALL THE TIME. I WANT HIM TO GO TO A GREAT HOME THAT WOULD KEEP IN TOUCH WITH ME AND LET ME KNOW HOW HE IS DOING. THATS WHY I CAME TO THIS FORUM FIRST. I REALLY NEED SOME HELP HERE GUYS.

I'm so sorry that you have to do this. I ran into a lady at Petco last night who said she was interested in getting a labradoodle. I asked her if she would be interested in getting a rescue one and she said she would be. I should have gotten her telephone # but, I didn't. I DID tell her how to get to this site and that it has lots of info. I can only pray that she will come to this site today. She and her husband have a young Austrailian shepherd and are looking to get a second dog. I don't want to get your hopes up, but, it sure would be great if she came on the site.

I'm so sorry Charlie Doodle. You have been a great contributor to the forum. Have you tried to get to the main issues your Mom is having with Charlie? Then maybe you could promise that you will handle more of whatever the issue is. Like, if cleaning the yard is too much of a chore or if food is too expensive, maybe you could earn extra money dog walking and help with the expenses? I know your heart is broken.
I want to post this in the "Labradoodle Stories" section because I think the group reads there more. I hope you don't mind. I will also bring some links over with photos because he is adorable.

Linda, Thank you so much. My mom is just being difficult. We have 4 dogs right now and she wants to only have 2 so we are also selling our male Boxer also. I heard them talking about a Labradoodle puppy in the local shelter on the radio yesterday and it just broke my heart.
