Hank is a cream f1 labradoodle , 4.5 years old. We are looking for loving new home for hank because we had our second daughter 10 months ago and she is allergic to Hank. When we got Hank we were told he didn't shed and was hypoallergenic. Well Hank's does shed but we didn't care because we love him but now we're between a rock and a hard place because my little daughter is suffering. He is great with my two daugther ( 3 and 10 months) and is the coolest dog at the dog park. He is house broken and is well behaved in the house. We live in Ardsley NY. This is pretty heartbreaking but if I can find a good home for Hank it would make it a little less.
PLEASE PM ME for more info and email etc thanks very much |

I am so sorry...this is obviously a heartbreaking time for you and your family. I hope that the new family will stay in touch with you, seding you pictures and stories...it does help to ease the pain. (I know, because as a breeder I cry every time a puppy is placed...but when I see how happy that pup is in its new life, I feel so happy.)
The organizations that Annmarie is contacting will help...they help place re-home Doodles and they select homes carefully. I am also sorry that the breeder told you that your pup would be hypo-allergenic and non-shedding. Especially in an F1, we always try to tell new owners that there will likely be shedding and that a person's allergic reaction can be caused by saliva and not dander, in which case, a Doodle will not help...It is a blow to good Doodle breeders when other breeders make such unfounded claims. I am sorry that your family has to suffer because of it. |
