Puppy brothers from Dallas dog pound

The Doodle Rescue Collective (DRC) Texas Director, Kim Konradi, heard of a 3 month old doodle puppy in the Dallas dog pound. She went to the pound and found there were TWO brothers, little black brothers, and both ill with "respiratory infections". She saw that one of the pups looked quite ill, and quickly pulled both pups from the shelter and took them immediately to her veterinarian. The vet felt both pups had pneumonia, and wasn't sure the sickest pup would survive. Unfortunately, the little guy didn't survive 24 hours, he died of Parvo. He had been vaccinated for Parvo one week earlier!! His surviving brother is improving, he tested negative for Parvo, and is getting antibiotics for his pneumonia. We'll all keep our prayers going for this little guy's health.

Liz, I am so sorry about the little one that didn't make it...heart breaking. So glad that the other one is well...you guys are doing great work!

This surviving brother has recovered, and has just been picked up by his new Mom and flown home to New York City!!

Liz, that is great news! Cute picture! He looks very much like some of our previous pups...so glad he has a loving home and that he survived that horrible disease!
