Lonesome dog lover looking for a labradoodle

Hi Everybody,

My name is Eddie, I'm 56 yrs old and single. I've been on involuntary leave of absense from my company for almost six months now and can't afford to buy a Labradoodle at this time. I realize the best thing to do is go to the local shelter and adopt, but there's nothing like a doodle. I have a large fenced in yard in southwest Florida and have permission from my landlord to have a small dog that doesn't have a shedding issue.
Labs are my favorite dogs. I had one when I was young and I'll never forget her. My sister in-law raised poodles back then and I was amazed with their intelligence. I can't think of a better combination than a Lab and a Poodle. I'm hoping to find a youngster so I can raise him or her.
If anyone can point me in the right direction I would sure appreciate it. The doodle would have a great home, get plenty of care, attention and exercise. Which I could also use.

Doodles are incredible. The combination of loyalty and trainability of the lab with intelligence of the poodle. Great.

Welcome to the forum Eddie..nice to meet you!! I agree with Linda...Doodles are the best, and we'll always have one too...

They are the most comical, endearing dogs I have ever known!
