Poor boy...debarked and in a puppy mill...anything is better than that...but I hope that he finds the most loving home so that he understands how great life can be!
I think he is a Goldendoodle, not a Labradoodle...he has Goldendoodle eyes!

What an absolutely horrible start to his life. How can someone debark a dog...HELLO he's a DOG - they're supposed to BARK!!!! It's like de-voicing a person if they speak to much. UGH

Sadly, debarking the dogs is one of the cruel tricks the puppymill owners use, to fool the public. If you don't hear 200 dogs barking, you won't know there's a puppymill behind that scenic Amish barn. And the worst part, the puppymill owners do this themselves, without a vet or anesthesia, they jam a sharp instrument down the throat of an awake dog! And don't forget they also perform their own caesarian sections on the poor laboring moms while they too are awake, and then crudely stitch them up themselves!!!!! The state of PA has just passed legislature that prohibits tail docking after 5 days of age, debarking and surgical assisted birth without anesthesia and the services of a veterinarian. Now, to only enforce this law in this secret underground world!

Ugh...what you just wrote Liz, turns my stomach...and it's all done for the almighty dollar....that someone should do those things to them and their wives...!!!!!

It truly is horrible... At the puppymill awareness rally in Lancaster, PA, I met a woman who presented her dog (some little furry thing, maybe shih shue?) and she told how she rescued this dog as a breeder dog from a puppymill, she was "discarded" by the puppy mill owner. The little dog had a lump on her abdomen, and her vet thought it was an unusual umbilical hernia, so he operated on the little dog to repair the "hernia" and found it was her uterus protruding from the skin of her abdomen, which had been crudely stitched up by the puppymill owner after he harvested her puppies!!!!
Seamus came from the same puppymill as this Smokey, in Upper Milford, PA. This owner would do his own debarking on his breeder dogs by sticking a set of pliars down the poor awake dogs throats!!! And we wonder why these poor dogs have such difficulty trusting humans!!!!! This absolutely repulses me, but I must tell everyone who will listen. These barbaric practices must stop.

Puppy mill puppies often end up in pet stores! Please don't buy pups from pet stores...
