Default Rescue doodles headed for the northeast!

FYI, we will be getting 3 LDs (1-2yr old each) from another rescue, moving up to the northeast next weekend. 2 females will go to the Maryland/DC area, and one to Mass. Also, a litter of black mini-LDs will come up to New England in 2 weeks, once they are 8 weeks old. Mom apparently was a minipoodle show dog who had an "accident" with the lab next door. The mom's owners dropped the pups at a high kill shelter in TX at 5-6 weeks of age!! Luckily, IDOG rescued them from the shelter, and has them in quarantine for 2 weeks.
We've got some excitement coming up in the next few weeks.
Hey Kathie, wanna foster a puppy or two??

I wish we had more foster homes, and could send the doodles to ALL the states!! Unfortunately, we've been very low on available fosters in the midwest...

We LOVE upstate New Yorkers!!!!! You're kind of like folks from CT without an attitude

If anyone wants to foster in NY, the playing field is wide open. PM me and we can talk further. With the three adult dogs coming from Ark, 2 will be in Maryland/DC area, and another foster mom in Concord, MA will take the third. A precious boy down in TX, Luke, will be coming up to the Boston area next week, there's just no applicants down in Texas for him. And the 6 puppies will be coming in 2 weeks, I only have one foster firmly set for them. If I can't find other fosters for them, they'll probably be in my living room. (Shh, don't tell Harry)...
IDOG is finding the dogs are in foster much longer now, due to the economy. Many foster homes as well as owner applicants have dried up, due to the economy. We are busting at the seams in order to care for the dogs we've committed to at this point.

Oh, update as we speak, the puppies are small, however reportedly their mom was a standard poodle and dad is a Brittany spaniel. They are all black, 5 have labby looking coats, 1 has curly hair. They were whelped 5/21/09.

The three young doodles from another rescue group in Arkansas are coming up this weekend, they should be getting on the truck in the morning. God bless the IDOG fosters who will meet the truck in Maryland at 3am!!!
The puppies are growing, and luckily haven't developed any illnesses from their brief stay in the shelter. They should be flying north in about 7 - 10 days. Kristen will be heading up the "Cape Cod Delegation of black doodle puppies". Lots of excitement (and planning and hard work) are in the air to save a few doodles.
