Hello all you fellow doodle lovers.
Kingston is a young doodle in a shelter in Martinville, VA (near NC border) who has been unable to be adopted out by the ASPCA...he has been returned twice due to "too much energy". Unfortunately for him, the new owners didn't expect a doodle's energy and didn't give him plenty of exercise and/or obedience training. IDOG can help rehome him appropriately, however we need someone who can go to the shelter and pick him up, and perhaps help drive him north a bit, to the DC or Philly area, where we have fosters/transportation. PLEASE check him out and what may be a small inconvenience to you of a day's drive, could mean truly a chance at a good life with a loving family for him. Hi Sheamusmom: Do you still need help with this doodle? I live in DC and I would really like to help. I might be able to go get him from the shelter and bring him back to DC. Would that be helpful? I've never done this before so I have a couple of questions! Such as - my doodle Huck is a mini (20 pounds) so I don't have a crate big enough for this doodle. Could he just ride in the backseat with me (my boyfriend would come with us so one of us would drive and the other would sit in the back) or would that be too dangerous? Let me know what you think!

Great news, IDOG volunteers in NC will pick up Kingston. He really looks like a great dog, with very wise eyes, kind of like an "old soul" within a young doodle body. So, if interested, check him out.
Sara, that is so sweet of you, I think we're OK for Kingston, but we would love your help as a volunteer in the northeast area. Please contact IDOG ( bear with my techno illiteracy) IDOG.biz, follow the rescue and rehome tab, and volunteer sign-up tab. If this doesn't work, PM me and I'll get you in touch with the IDOG NE coordinator directly. thanks again. Liz http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displa ... d=12777957
