sad, but are looking to rehome
We are looking to rehome our labradoodle, Charlie. He is a dedicated dog to my DH and our immediate family and this decision is a very difficult one for us. We have worked with a trainer for some time to help Charlie overcome his fear/timidness/agression, but he has recently bitten a child who rode thier bike in our back yard (I was with him and he was on the e-collar, however the child surprised both of us and unfortunatly, Charlie responded negatively). Unfortunatly, this is not the first incident (although the situation was different the other time). We have a three year old and are expecting another child in a few weeks. He's been great with our daughter thus far. However, he's not friendly toward other children. He would be a great dog for a person/couple who doesn't have children and has time to dedicate to continue the training and space for Charlie to get plenty of excersice. He's great on a leash and enjoys playing games. We would be happy to talk more with anyone who is interested and/or could help us out with this process. We've already contacted the idog rescue website. We want what's best for him so that he may live a long, happy doggie life.
