Oh, poor Beck!
Dogs seem so tough, don't they? It is when things like this happen that you realize that they are very stoic when hurt...
When Bayley was small, about 14 weeks old, she and Lexie were running around the yard, chasing each other...I heard a horrible scream...the kind that dogs do when they are really hurt badly...Dave was out with her and by the time I got to them, Bayley had stopped screaming and was acting okay...but I took her inside and held her, looking over her coat and found a sore...but not much blood...took her to the vet and they shaved her coat...she had run into an old nail that was sticking out of a raised planting bed...scraped down her side and she had about 30 stitches!
If not for the scream, I would not have known anything was wrong...they are amazing creatures...
I sure do hope that Beck heals quickly and completely and that he is able to stay still and stop licking for a few days.
Please keep us posted about how he is doing ... and give him a few extra kisses from me!
