Default Re: LONG day..... PUPPIES!!

JUDI.......the Rufus Gene, if you want any info i'll check to see if I have any links still to that though i wonder if doing a search may give you
more UPDATED news. They are NOT sure if it's a single gene or its a combination of how the lineup (of genes) is and thus the agouti then another than you get to rufus.

I guess the hardest part for many breeders is to have a red stay a deep red and not lighten up with age.
from what i know there is no test for the RUFUS gene (to the public)as i was studying this one myself as my breeder's dogs get "gun dog" red aka toller red
just as say a irish setter is red and deepens with age.

NOW i always wondered what those black and/or black freckled spots meant on the belly and other areas. I was at a loss to tell my breeder
what they really signified. In fact I have one person to ask if their goldendoodle ever did OUTGROW those spots, as many of the puppies
lose them but a few keep them even at 4mos old.
JAC ......does Maureen have info i could read on this meaning Parti? just curious

NOW BACK TO JUDI'S PUPPIES JUDI every single puppy looks like he/she will have really nice coats!
I love all the colors but reds are fun to watch when they're born as at 1st they all appear dark then as they dry you see
muddy brownish red, to the creamish red etc and then have to wait longer to see a truer coat color.
