Ohhhh, Jac!!

I was in the airport about to board the plane from Dallas to Minneapolis today and heard a report on CNN playing at the gate....I prayed for you and wondered if you all were in the path of those fires! Man, tornadoes, floods, fires....you are right this has been a difficult spring everywhere!

Hope you are still OK...and that you will not have to evacuate. I pray for rain, too! And that somehow the wind would die down....
Keep us posted if you can! Wish the fires could just wipe out the foxtails and leave the houses etc. alone!!
Be careful and aware....call on us for specific prayer should it be needed!

Thank you all so much...and Greg, I would be terrified of flooding and the high rain, winds and such that are going on as part of the storms you are enduring...so, thank you for your prayers and concern...mine will be given to support you and the others suffering from every type of fear, worry or sorrow.

I feel rather ashamed getting all of this attention! So many others are really losing everyting.

It is all around me, though...the fire has now burned 19,000 acres. Many people have lost their homes to this fire...and it continues to threaten us. They have a mandatory evacuation in place for Paradise, a town just north of us, the roads that they are closing are regular routes for us, so it is hitting close to home.

The fire is actually only about 8 miles from us now. We have a lot of smoke and ash is falling on our cars. The fire burned power lines and our power was out too...tomorrow it will be 101 degrees, plus the heat from the fires. Whew!

Today I put the dogs in my car and was planning to take them away. Dave came home from work early (thank goodness) and gathered up the 3 remaining adult dogs and 6 puppies...we drove around and realized that we had no where to go with this many dogs! LOL So, we came home. I am watching the reports and will go out to see how close the fire is now...and if it is still far enough away, I'll get some sleep and Dave will keep an eye on things.

Thanks again...I love you guys!

Jac, I'm saying prayers for you.
I just asked someone on the zoo about their doodle because he looks and sounds so perfect. Turns out he is one of yours! Here is the link.
I think he is out of Rosie and Chase? Kingston is a beauty!

Linda! Thanks for linking this! I have not heard about what happened to Kingston! I am so upset...I will contact Chelsea as soon as I can...but my poor baby!

Yes, he is such a beautiful boy...and he is just like his daddy, calm, mellow and sweet...if he has been abused by someone, you can bet that they will hear from me! Damn!

hahahaha, Tink! You betcha! I can see it now...and what a group we would be...our doodles playing and doing doodle 500s while the owners carried clubs and signs! (But, you KNOW that I will not let this end here, don't you? )

Yes! Sharon, Kingston is a half brother to Rosie...he was born 4 days after Rosie...they both have Chase as daddy!

How is little Rosie doing? Please feel free to send me a looooong email (with pictures!) any time!!

Thank you all so much for your thoughts, prayers and support...the fire is still raging, but it has changed direction. They have evacuated another part of Paradise, but the fire is going north and we are south-east. (It was moving south-east for the last few days.)

The winds could switch and change things again, but I think that we will sleep tonight...finally!
