Default I was hospitalized for a month/Bogart

Hello All!
It has taken me almost a month to tell my story. I was taken via ambulance to the hospital on October 17 and my son and husband were told I most likely would not live.
Somehow, I got Legionnaires pneumonia and was in a coma for 16 days.
All my organs shut down. I was on dialysis, a trach.....and actually just found out that THIRTY NINE things went wrong.
I hardly recall a thing for 2 days BEFORE hospitalization and most definitely during my stay.
I am still very weak and exhausted. But, I enjoy being called a MIRACLE by doctors, nurses and friends. It humbles me and makes me wonder what God has in store for me. He kept me for some reason.

Now.......on my little Bogart.
I was given a private room so he could stay with me. The nurses and my husband were to take him outside and feed him.
I tried this, but the beds were so small and it was so noisy, that it just couldn't work. Bogart slept on the bed at my feet and never barked at the noises, yet he couldn't help being fidgety and keeping me awake. So, he'd visit during the day and go home at night.

My husband was a disaster and so was my son who was called to fly in because his mother was most likely dying.
I was told that Bogart was a mess too. He would go outside and do nothing.......pee or poop. I guess he missed his mama.

He LOVED coming into ICU and crawling up with me and he became the mascot of the ICU unit even when I was in a coma.

I LOVE MY BOGART SO MUCH!
Since I have been home, he is even more attentive to me then ever!

Well, that's my story that I couldn't tell you when I was in the hospital. One thing I'd like to say is Take nothing or no one for granted. And be ready to meet your Maker.
You just never know when something can happen.
Love to all and a Merry Christmas!

Holy WOW!

I am so happy that you're alright and on the mend. What a terrifying experience for you and your whole family. Take care of yourself and sit back and enjoy what you have. There's nothing like a life threatening illness to remind us of the things that are most cherished.

Merry Christmas!

Thank you! You brought tears to my eyes.
You are so right! Almost losing your life makes you look at everything from a new perspective.

Merry Christmas
