I have to stop this.
Why is it that I am so obsessed with potty habits of dogs? I realize that, especially in the summer, when dogs are into more things like sticks, pieces of wood chips and things, we have had problems with Bogart eating things and getting sick, but this is crazy! I am forever asking my husband if he pooped or not. Like yesterday........he didn't go in the morning and when we had our guests here.......he STILL hadn't gone until, finally, at around 10PM. Then I could relax! The day before, he had the pudding poo's and I was concerned, then he didn't go all day yesterday until very late and today........I haven't seen him go at all! I just had him outside.......11:30PM and nothing. I have been like this all my life.........and actually have a hilarious story to tell, but I'm too tired right now! Is anyone even close to being this strange?

UH LINDA.....it's part of being a DOODLE-A-HOLIC and feeling like their our kids
IF i can find it i'll revive an OLD POST that will have you in tears with laughter it was before you joined. Many doodle owners say their conversations have turned to poop mates asking DID HE/SHE POOP? was it fim? and HOW many times etc LINDA.....max is going to be 4yrs old june 27th., peanut is 3.5yrs old ........DAVE and I sill ask DAILY about peanut and max's poop NOW go to bed and soon i'll REPOST THE ART of POOPER SCOOPING so you can laugh wholeheartedly! OH OH NOTE: this is what i have found with doodles as i did have 3 at one time, have friends and doctors that have doodles as well DOODLES CANNOT HANDLE STRIFE/ARGUMENTS/TENSION in the home .......IT REALLY AFFECTS THEM But i know it can affect other types of dogs even cats DURING TIMES OF STRESS where a household is having personal problems: teenagers, divorce, not getting along or whatever DOODLES CAN GET THE MUSHIES AND/OR EVEN POOP AND/OR PEE IN THE HOUSE sooooo it's not always diet or somethign they ate outside..........I know in my home when there were problems i keep private UHG! NATURE'S MIRACLE is my best friend! hahahhaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Thanks, annmarie!
I know I have been a part of those "poopy" discussions! And..........you're right........they are like our kids! Okay.........now I have time for my FUNNY story that we tell all the time. This goes waaaaaaaaay back, so you'll see that this has always been ME! When my son was a baby, I CHOSE the old-fashioned way and did sterilizing of bottles and nipples. I used the other kind when travelling. At that time, my husbands nephew lived with us. God....I loved that guy! He was only about 3 years younger than me and we really got along well. Nope! Nothing was "going on"! :P So, as I had asked him to help with my dog at that time, he did.....unlike my lazy husband. Mike was always a great help. But, I hounded him so much about this dear dogs potty habits. It's not surprising that eventually he had to be getting irritated....yet he was always polite. One day, this dog hadn't been taken out. Everyone said he had and ummm...they lied. So, I was sitting at the kitchen table with my baby and the dog walked right up to me....turned his back to me and POOPED! Of course I threw a hairy fit. So, I really got on these guys if I hadn't personally seen him go. One day, I stood in the kitchen sterilzing and placing the items on sanitized towels. Mike walked into the house with our dog and I OF COURSE asked if he went! He said YES and I didn't believe him because he wasn't out there very long. Mike didn't say a word...but walked outside with a paper towel and brought it into the kitchen placing it right next to my sterilized bottles! I NEVER ASKED MIKE AGAIN!

Finding poop is my second job. I go out into the yard after my morning joe and I have to find 4 poops, one from each dog from last night and another one from each dog from the morning so the yard is clean for the day. You should see me pacing the yard hunting poop like they are truffles.

I usually pick up the poo after my morning coffee too.
When the pups were getting almost old enough to go to their new homes, it was getting to be a 3-4 X a day job. Early in the evening one night, I was out in my PJ's...shovel in one hand, glass of wine in the other. After 3 cars went by, all giving me a strange look, I realized I probably looked pretty funny out there! Yup! I'm cool!

Okay i had poop duty until AUG 2009 then surgery ended that job.......I learned or rather taught MAX and Peanut to walk themselves
outside in the back without me all for just one rasberry treat NO ONE will do poop duty EXCEPT ME....what is it with guys GAGGING with poop regardles if it's a baby or a dogs??? anyway having 6 acres is great....Max and Peanut no longer go by side of house they go out back and hell if they fill up the back 6 acres then i've got a real problem So in a way my car accident then surgery helped me out........I no longer have any poop duty. IF anyone complains then i ask them DID YOU LET THEM OUT BACK? or did you let them out the front waiting for them to go by side of house? funny how quiet they get when i ask and then next time see them walk down the basement stairs to let them out back instead my attitude? i am NOT allowed to walk in my yard yet.......so the FEW TIMES I ask they to help out with letting MAX and Peanut out if they can't walk down one flight of stairs which then they get poop duty BESIDES i told them walking down and up a flight of stairs is good exericse and doesn't stink either
