Default Helping to see what this is all about..CLARIFY HERE

I have looked at Yung's website which we are now a part of.
It references our Labradoodle website.
http://www.petguide.com/
It seems that things will be the same! Now......it is up to you to decide whether this infringes on your rights.
Yung........I hope you understand that we want to keep things the way they were. The moderators still want to delete inappropriate materials and still will remain against bark yard breeders and puppy mills.
We want to know we can reserve the right to do so.
We have been a part of this for years now and know what is to be expected.
Also, as far as copyrights........those that have them, need to know that they are theirs and nothing will change.
We may still have a few issues........so I hope that we can use this thread to clarify anything anyone needs to know.
Thanks

Lindamarie,

Thank you for posting this. From the day we arrived here, I said that we are not changing things in terms of how the community is moderated. Whatever rules guided you before in keeping the peace here, keep it up. In my experience, rules usually pop up because of something has surfaced that hasn't been addressed in the past. If we ever have one of these situations, it'll be the mods and myself discussing together as a team to address the issue.

Ok I'll address something from one of Nancy's posts:

"I would like to hear what the "admin" has to say about the concerns brought up about their allowing puppy mills to advertise on their site,
As big a company im sure they have little way to control that,,
since it is all bout money,,
heck It's business,, i understand that,, but the almighty dollar isnt everything
standing on integrity ,and honor is,, You gotta stand for somthing!!!
there are several questions has been asked numerous times by several people that has yet to be addressed,,
in fact seems to be being intentionally avoided from where i sit."

In terms of advertising, which advertising are you referring to? The breeders' directory or the Google ads? For the Google ads, I've already addressed it in another thread. We can block links of puppy mills and BYBs PROVIDED we are made aware of these links. This is where the team effort comes in. If you see a link or an from Google that is a BYB, puppy mill or just plain goes against the values of this community, shoot me a PM.

As for the breeders directory, we need to get ourself more acquainted with that because to be quite honest, I don't know how Scott vetted the people who signed up for that advertising. If you guys know, send me a PM. Nonetheless, there is no reason for us to change the process of who is allowed to advertise in that directory. If there were standards that needed to be met before, we will continue that.

Anyhow, Nancy, it appears you're already dead set on your opinion about us and nothing I say will change that. I suggested to you to do your own research...don't just take my word for it. If you're dead set on leaving, you're welcome to. However, I really feel it's unfair that you're making these baseless accusations against us and TRYING to spread this fear of what the site will become. Instead of doing that, why don't you stick around and see for yourself. They always say the proof is in the pudding right? Anyhow, the ball is in your court.

I'm sick of this drama. In spite of all the noise some people are making, I don't really see anything that the new 'owners' did except raise the cost of advertising. the forums look the same, nothing seems to have been deleted, so what is this REALLY all about?

It is starting to look like a few people got really upset, either because they sense a loss of control over the site with the new owner, or they are angry over an increase in advertising costs.. Well IMO they should have kept their remarks out of a public forum. Airing them publicly makes it look very much like their goal is to destroy these forums. If they really 'cared' as much about the forum as they claim, I believe they would have contacted the new site administrator privately with their concerns rather than post them here.

I remember something similar happening when I first started reading these forums. Someone posted something on the forum that offended someone. The person who was upset, rather than just contact the OP and express their concern decided to 'take it public' and went on and on about it.. as though it was the worst thing that had ever been said...Well, it went on for so long that some people ended up feeling they had to 'choose' a side, others just got tired of the drama, so a number of people left the forums...if this stuff continues, I can see that same thing happening now, so if you really 'love the forums' then act like adults so they don't go under as a result of all of this.

Kirama...........why do we need to head over anywhere else?
This is blowing over as we speak. Involving other websites etc isn't necessary and I see you have referred to doodlekisses twice now.
I mean...it's fine if people want to go there, but why are we sending people elsewhere.

You are correct in saying this should never have gone public. It was an over reaction and spread into the public forum and that didn't have to happen.
We really CAN just move on.
I'm trying to start some new posts but don't have much to say right now as it's just raining here and boring!
So, instead of just going for a couple of weeks, why not just keep posting and responding? THAT is what gets us away from all this stuff and moves us back to where we were, right?
