Does anyone know what my groomer is talking about?
I ran into her at my massage therapy........and she recognized Bogart. She told me this is what I want from what I described. He goes in on Wednesday. From another thread......I have asked that she keeps the eyebrows and also I added keep his beard, goatee...and some scruff on top of his head. NO CUTTING THE LEGS! Bogart has stickman legs and his hair has grown in perfectly to make him appear to have large legs....until he's wet! Can anyone send me some pictures of something that might look like this cut? I wanna take them to her and be sure to get the right thing.

Linda, I googled...one site says:
Some styles of hair cutting are known as "lamb cut", and is very much of the liking of Poodle's owners. The hair is cut off at a uniform length, short or long. The "Dutch" style is more attractive, with the short hair of the body contrasting the long hair of the legs. The most difficult hair cut is known as "lion look", usually seen only at canine exhibitions, cause demands more time and is much more expensive. But there were many other things listed, some with pictures...google "groomer lamb's cut" To find Doodle instructions go to www.idog.biz |

I watched a video about it, they didn't show the cut but it was a Poodle grooming...where they shave the body, leaving longer on neck, tail and legs...BUT..."Face, feet and base of tail shaved"...your groomer wants your dog to look like a POODLE.
Take some Doodle instructions to her BEFORE you go...tell her that your dog is NOT a Poodle and you dont' want a poodle cut...make sure that she studies the Doodle cut before you get there. |

I read a groomer post once where they were laughing at and making fun of Doodle owners and how stupid we are when we get our dogs groomed because we want everything left long...they really were mean!

Thanks guys!
NO! No poodle look! Jac..........I went through 14 pages at IDOG. I came up with this one........ ![]() I'm not sure how that head look will go with a shaved down body! I am going to take this picture in along with THIS picture I have in my avatar. ![]() Last summer, he did come back looking like a poodle.......I don't want this! I need a happy medium between these 2 pictures! If a Lamb's Cut is what you guys described.......that is definitely NOT the thing I want!

That is a great picture! You can see eyes but still have the long Doodle look...
I often shave my dogs (I shave them close too) and leave their tail and head long...I think it is cute! |

WOW I LOVE How BOGIE looks in his new cut!!!!!
i also didn't realize that Bogie's coat was that thick in order to a cut like that..........he really does look soft velvety and awesome LINDA........HOW short is that cut? ie: 3/8in?

Blue?? WOW! I never thought of that!! That sounds awesome!!
Yes, his coat is really thick! It's amzing that he doesn't mat! Don't get me into fractions annmarie! Okay.....I would say it's about as short, on his back, as a Boxer would be?? Soooooooooo! Yesterday, I had Bogart out 'n about with me and although people always approach Bogart, yesterday it was unbelievable! Everyone wanted to run their hands along his velvet back! I mean it glistens like it's wet! What was suppose to be a short shopping trip turned into 3 hours of enjoyment with people "feeling up" Bogart!
