The kitchen fire we had yesterday reminded me how important I think it is to have a plan for our dogs to escape too. Here is the link for any of you that would like to review some of the ideas that were shared. post159108.html?hilit=i%20am%20worried%20about%20f ire#p159108 I stressed to my husband that we still haven't gotten the rope or ladder we had planned on to get out of our upstairs if we had a fire. We got life vests that have a handle and will use those on the dogs to lower them but then I am stuck without the ladder and rope. The fire we had just put a huge scare into me to finish our plan. I would not leave my dogs to die in a fire so we have to have a plan for us all!! Anyway I feel this is so important I brought it up again. Thanks for your patience.

Thanks Kathy...you are right...we need to consider these things and to have emergency plans for our families and for our pets. Thanks for the reminder...we have our escape bus, but need to get it running! Won't do us much good in the driveway.

EXCELLENT POST KATHY!!! thank you
as many of us either put it off or have one route planned but need to think of all angles if not consult with your local fire dept.
