Default Kennel Club & it's practices

Seems the kennel club is taking heat for what they have not done with our purebred dogs in light of the video that came out...

Hey, Judi, I changed the title of this, since it is the English Kennel Club that the story is about...but I am so glad that they are keeping it in the press....I hope that they keep it out there so that people can no longer ignore it...and that the American and Canadian counterparts take heed and start to look at their own policies.

JUDI .......you're too funny sometimes BUT AT SAME TIME posting this link is good

While so many love to watch dog shows I have a hard time as deep down the pedigrees are bred for SHOW and not health.
certain pedigrees lines (actual structural lines/form) has been bred just for LOOKS with NO regards to health.

Also the AKC.....what is done regarding say HD? do these breeders think of TESTING like many reputable breeders do w/doodles.

In my area there is a well known breeder of Irish Setters and refuses to sell UNLESS they're for SHOWING.
NOW she does have a full daily schedule of diet, exercise and more BUT NO TESTING!

so if these breeders and people who show their dogs love them so much WHY NOT BREED FOR HEALTH THAT SHOULD BE A QUALIFICATION
TO ENTER A DOG SHOW!!!
