I love you guys!
You know that I will post here when I have some pups! But probably not until the entire litter is safely snuggled next to mama Bayley...and I hope it will be soon! |

Thanks, I think it is pretty exciting too! But...I really don't expect the pups until the 24th...of course, that is when my husband will be at work and I will get to do this totally alone! LOL
Todd, she is panting, off and on...and Bay is not one to pant...but I don't think it is a sign of labor just yet...she is soooooo huge that I think she is just struggling for air...bless her heart...I don't know where those babies all fit inside of her! I felt her tummy this morning (I am always petting her tummy) and it is extrmemly tight, which might be a good sign...but I have sat up with Bay sometimes all night long (before, now I know better) with these "signs" and I am exhausted when the pups finally come...so, I am just going to wait until I see a push...THEN, I'll get serious! LOL Her temp is 99.6 today...The other day it was 99.3 and yesterday it was 100. She keeps me guessing...but I think that her natural temp is just lower than normal anyway...if she goes to 98, then I will perk up! Mostly, I can judge by how Bayley eats...if she refuses a treat I know we are close...she has cut back on her food intake, mostly because there is no room in her tummy! But she ate a light supper last night...nothing this morning, but I have not offered a treat yet. Oh, and she is wanting to go outside a lot more than she normally does...this is another sign...so I think that I'll be spending the day with her, in the nursery, today. |

I read on a site that you need to insert the thermometer 4".. Obviously they are talking about an old fashioned mercury stick one, cause there ain't NO WAY I could possibly stick my little electronic one that far! I am assuming you use one of those too, perhaps that is why our girls read low... |

Today I was successful in shaving down two of my dogs...whew, I love to get that out of the way...two down and ... we won't even discuss how many to go! |
